iRestore can automatically set timecards as either Hourly or Overtime, and in order to set that up based on your personal Company's needs, you can go to Settings -> General Settings.

Under General Settings You can set whether the Overtime scale should be Weekly or Daily, how many Hours  a user should log before going to Overtime, and what day of the week the system's reporting should begin on.

Once the Overtime settings have been set, go to the Employee List -> Overtime Report.

The Overtime Report gives a list of Timecards for the week, hitting 'Set Overtime' automatically go through the Timecards and set the Payroll Type for each timecard.

In the case that the total hours are greater than the Hours Before Overtime field from above, iRestore will split the timecards so as to create correct Hourly/Overtime Timecards. In order to do this, hit 'Set Overtime':

The timecards will be split so the Hourly will never go above 40 in this case, and all time worked beyond that becomes Overtime.

It is important to note that 'Hourly' and 'Overtime' are default Payroll Types. However, if you are using QuickBooks Desktop, you will need to import a list of Payroll Types and have them set on each individual Employee.
