Once your connection from iRestore to Quickbooks is set up, you can begin sending your jobs over. This is a mostly simple process, but there are a few things to watch out for:

First you will need to make sure that QuickBooks is already opened.

On the Job Detail Billing Tab you will notice the 'Send Customer to QB' and 'Get Job Details from QB' buttons.

Hitting 'Send Customer to QB' will take the Customer field from the Job, and use it to create a new Customer in QuickBooks. If iRestore finds that the Customer Name already exists within the Customer list in QuickBooks, it will attempt to match itself to that already existing Customer instead of creating a new one.

If you check off the 'Create Subjob in QB' box, then the Job Number will be sent over to QuickBooks as a subjob of the Customer Name.

Once you see the QB Customer List ID and QB Job List ID fields are filled out, the job has been successfully matched to QuickBooks.

In many cases, we also suggest creating a subject, especially in cases of repeat customers, or duplicated jobs. This is as simple as checking 'Create Subjob in QB' before hitting Send Customer.

In this case, we send over the Job Number under the Customer name in order to keep the jobs differentiated.
